A nice start to any round. A straight drive will miss the fairway bunker at 186 yards leaving a downhill shot to a well guarded green. Bunker front left and an elevated green. Don’t go long as your leave a tricky chip back to the pin.

A well-struck shot is needed to clear the two greenside bunkers. A sloped green from back to front can leave a slick putt. Walk off with a par and you should be happy!

Strategically placed bunker on the right of the fairway 205 yards from White Tee waiting to catch your drive. The green has bunkers to the left and right so an accurate approach shot is required.

A straight par 4 which usually plays downwind. Keep it on the fairway for a straight forward second shot to a large double level green. The green is protected by a greenside bunker on the right.

A brave drive can be sent down the right to follow the sloping contours of the fairway or hit a long iron for position. A strategically placed fairway bunker can catch an indifferent tee shot out so placement from the tee is vital.

A long extremely tricky par 3, with bunkers surrounding the front of the green, par is a great score.

Another tricky hole with out of Bounds to the left of the entire hole, favours a draw from the tee, leaving a mid-short iron approach to a fast green.

A real risk and reward par 5, longer hitters can drive over the hill to leave a mid iron into the green, beware because there is trouble on the left from the tee, also a very tricky green.

Another hole that favours a draw from the tee to leave a short or mid iron to the green, or hit a long iron for placement and a mid – long iron approach. 2 Fairway bunkers are well place to catch the really long hitters off the tee.

The second shot can catch most players out. if you go for the green you will find, although a large green in width, it is quite narrow in depth. If you play safe then you need to keep well left as there is a ‘valley of sin’ waiting to catch your ball.

A short par 3 that requires accuracy from the tee, anything errant will ruin your score, a bank of trees to the left “No mans land” and a snake bunker to the right.

Along par 4 that requires 2 very good shots to reach let along hold this sloping green. Out of bounds to the right of the fairway. A par here is a great score.

Tee shot favours a fade, there is a lateral hazard behind the green and a bunker front left, if you hit this green it should stop but favor the right side as the green slopes to the left.

A Blind drive with ‘out of bounds’ to the right, make sure those in front are out of range, there is a warning bell further down the fairway, longer hitters could reach in 2 but most take 3 to get on the green and play the sensible option.

Blind drive (wait until you hear the bell), there is a drainage ditch across the fairway which is approx. 150 yards from the green. Bunkers left and front right of the green and the fairway all runs to the sea.

Better long than short on this Hole where there is a bunker waiting to catch your ball. There is a two tier green, rumour has it, that it slopes towards the sea.

Important to get a straight drive here. Trouble left an right, most players favour an iron for placement because the fairway runs to the left. A steep slope up the fairway leads to the green that has bunkers either side.

The 18th Hole is one of the very few holes that are reasonably flat. A long hole, you would do well to get on in two but it does depend on the wind direction. The green is 256 yards from the directional post with a bunker at the front and left hand side so fly the green or run in, it’s up to you. A great finishing hole.
